Jane M. Carlonas is a 1988 graduate of the University of Scranton and received her Juris Doctorate Degree from Duquesne University School of Law, Pittsburgh, PA in 1991.  She practiced law in Pittsburgh for two years before returning to the Scranton area.  

She is an active member of the Lackawanna Bar Association currently serving as Vice President and also served as President of the Young Lawyers Division in 1998.  She is also serving as Co-Chairperson of the 2010 Wills for Heroes Program in Lackawanna County.  She presently serves as a member of the House of Delegates of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.  

An active member in the community, she is currently Vice President of St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen, past Board Member and Co-President of St. Joseph’s Center Auxiliary and a former member of the Board of Directors of Susan G. Komen Foundation where she served as Chairperson of the Race for the Cure (2000); Scranton Counseling Center, Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce, Northeast Regional Cancer Institute and 2010 Chairperson of the American Heart Association Lackawanna County Heart Ball.

Attorney Carlonas received the Girl Scouts Women of Distinction Award in 2000.  In 2001, she received the Duquesne University School of Law Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award, Pennsylvania Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Michael K. Smith Excellence in Service Award and the Lackawanna Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Margaret M. Gavin Award.  In 2005, she received the Reverend T. Donald Rinfret SJ Distinguished Alumnus Award from Scranton Preparatory School.

Attorney Carlonas concentrates her practice primarily in the areas of real estate and estate planning.
